142 KA MGA PASYENTE, NAKABENEPISYO SANG LIBRE NGA SURGICAL MISSION SANG LGU-KORONADAL

142 ka mga pasyente ang nakabenepisyo sang libre nga surgical mission sang LGU-Koronadal. Ini ang ginalakipan sang 74 ka mga pasyente sa bahin sang minor operation samtang 68 naman sa bahin sang major operation.

Kalakip sa mga balati-an nga ginpaidalom sa operasyon amo ang masunod: cataract, gall bladder, hemorrhoid (almoranas), goiter, mayoma, ovarian cyst, hernia, sungi kag mga nagsuprer sang mga bukol sa lawas.
Kaangot sini, lubos ang pagpasalamat sang mga pasyente kay Mayor Peter B. Miguel bangud sa nasambit nga programa. Nahibalu-an nga indi lamang libre nga operasyon ang nabenepisyo sang mga pasyente apang lakip man ang libre nga bulong tubtub nga maga-ayo ang mga ini.

Samtang, ginpahayag ni Mayor PBM nga liwat nga magapatigayon sang kasubong nga programa ang LGU-Koronadal sa April 25, 2012. Ini ang kadungan naman sa igapatigayon nga Tuli Festival tagsa ka summer. Gindugang pa sang alkalde nga mangin tuigan na nga aktibidad ang libre nga operasyon sa idalom sang iya programa nga “Paghatag Bulig sa Maysakit (PBM)” Ang paghatag importansya ni Mayor PBM sa bahin sang ikaayong lawas ang kabahin man sang iya programa nga “Malusog at Protektadong Pamayanan” sa idalom sang P.E.T.E.R. agenda.
Sa karon, liwat na naman nga nagapanawagan si Mayor Miguel sa mga pumuluyo sang syudad sang Koronadal nga nagasuprer sang balati-an. Suno sa iya, amat-amat na nga magpalista sa tagsa ka mga midwives, health workers ukon magpadulong sa City Health Office. Ini agud mahibalu-an ang numero sang mga pasyente nga natalana nga pagahatagan sang kasubong nga medical attention.

Sa pihak nga bahin, bangud sa nasambit nga programa, pagalauman ang pagbalik sang TAU MU SIGMA PHI, University of Sto. Tomas Medical Fraternity sa syudad sa madason nga tuig nga amo naman ang nagapanguna nga partner sang alkalde. Madumduman nga ang libre nga surgical mission ang naglawig sa sulod sang tatlo nga adlaw nga nag-umpisa sang Nobyembre 23 tubtub 25, 2011.

LGU-Koronadal grants PhP1.15M financial assistance to 3 City Coops

Three cooperatives in the City of Koronadal were granted a total amount of PhP1.15M financial assistance by the City Government of Koronadal under the Cooperative Loan Assistance Program.

The Far East Hybrid Cooperative received PhP500,00 for the continuous production of Glutinous White Corn. DECS South Cotabato Multi-Purpose Cooperative also received PhP.500,000 as additional capitalization and Topland Farmers Cooperative intends to loan out to their members the PhP150,000 loan grant. This is the fourth batch of cooperative beneficiaries from the time the program was launched by former City Mayor Fernando Q. Miguel.

In his message, Mayor Miguel challenged all cooperatives to propagate and improve the livelihood activities of their own cooperatives. He said that the City Government intends to expand the number of legitimate and active cooperatives in the city.”Our programs for cooperatives are very strong and it would not be that productive without our financial support. Being a cooperative is a challenging venture and it wouldn’t be sustainable if there is no sense of cooperativism,” he further emphasized.

Meanwhile, the cooperative member beneficiaries expressed their utmost gratitude to the City Government for the financial assistance granted with the assurance to make proper use of the fund for the intended livelihood activities.

The said financial assistance is a soft loan bearing an interest rate of 4% per annum payable in two years.



LGU-Koronadal signs MOA for “Fit for School” Program

City of Koronadal - To make public school pupils “fit for school” by promoting simple proper hygiene and healthy lifestyle, the City of Koronadal, thru Mayor Peter Miguel, signed the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the LGU-Koronadal, the Department of Education, City Division and the Fit for School, Inc. on November 22, 2011 at the City Hall lobby in preparation for the launch of Essential Health Care Program (EHCP) in the city as a preventive health and behavior measures aimed at sustaining healthy behavior and long term health improvements for public elementary school pupils.
The MOA signing was also graced by Mr. Democrito Figueroa, Jr., ECHP National Coordinator, Mr. Edward Dawatan, Regional-12 Project Officer- Fit for School, Mr. Mario Madrero, OIC City Schools Division Superintendent and the City Officials.
Mayor Miguel, a medical doctor himself by profession, had been active in addressing health issues of KoronadaleƱos and welcomed most the program to make the city’s public elementary schools healthy public places promoting basic hygiene as daily routine to minimize if not eliminate childhood diseases contributory to high occurrence of absences or even children quitting school.
With PhP500, 000 allocated by LGU-Koronadal as counterpart fund, the mayor gave assurance for the quality implementation of the program through the DepEd City Division and pledged to sustain the same especially that the Fit for School is encouraging the City of Koronadal to be the model for the said health care program in the entire Philippines owing to the wholehearted support of Mayor Miguel.
Fit for School Incorporated, is a Philippine NGO committed to support the Health and Education Sectors in delivering school-based health interventions at large scale. The concept is to promote the simple impact and cost-effective Essential Health Care Program (EHCP), which addresses high-impact childhood diseases in the Philippines.
The implementation of this program consists of daily group hand washing with soap, daily toothbrushing with fluoride toothpaste and bi-annual deworming of children attending public schools and day care centers.//
