CTO intensifies campaign on NO PERMIT, NO STICKER, NO TRAVEL POLICY

The city government through the City Treasurer’s Office intensified its campaign on NO PERMIT, NO STICKER, NO ENTRY POLICY following the provisions of Ordinance No.1 Series of 2001 found in the Local Revenue Code of 2008. The law mandates all delivery vehicles being utilized for business to secure a travel permit before entering the premises of the City of Koronadal

This noteworthy effort had apprehended numerous delivery trucks and vans travelling without permits and stickers last January 21-31,2012 in the different entry points of the city. The said campaign also aims to ensure effective and efficient collection of taxes and fees and institute transparency in administrative affairs.

In an interview, Revenue Collection Officer Lindo Jovenal explained the advantages of securing permits prior to the deadline date to avoid surcharges and interests. Further, he said that their office had increased the penalty from PhP600.00 to PhP1,000 for non-conforming delivery- related vehicles caught by the city’s tax enforcers.
